Introducing Mr. + Mrs. Layfield! Yay! I’ve been excited for Rachel + Brady’s wedding since their sun soaked Ocean City engagement from the winter. I couldn’t wait to share in a fellow military couple’s big day. These two are as thoughtful and kind as they come, so all in all, I knew their day was going to be something special. Their Castle Farm wedding is nothing short of a magical start to their new journey together. This little gem of a farm is tucked away in Snow Hill, MD and creates a beautiful, rustic atmosphere for weddings. It’s the perfect Eastern Shore wedding venue for those who want a quaint, outdoor celebration.
I got a little nervous when I saw the weather called for cloudy skies. I typically anticipate rain somewhere along the day, but we were SO lucky! The cloud cover made dreamy light cascade over their Eastern Shore wedding venue. Rachel and Brady did not do a first look, which can be a rarity nowadays in the wedding world.
Brady’s eyes welled up with tears when he saw his beautiful bride start down the aisle. They joined hands in a prayer and commenced their ceremony with all their loved ones surrounding them. Seeing their parents and grandparents beam with happiness and pride made my heart melt. The sun even came out just in time for their ceremony!
We had a blast photographing the family, bridal party, and the new Mr. + Mrs.! The sun stuck around to create some glow-y magic in their portraits. Rachel + Brady were otherworldly happy and they were so natural together. I really didn’t have to tell them to do anything, they just let their love shine and it warms my heart every time I look at their gallery.
Every detail had meaning and I love seeing that in couples’ wedding days. Everyone got a little box of Rheb’s Candies as a wedding favor. Rachel’s poppop would get these for his grandchildren, so it’s a simple way Rachel remembers and honors his memory. She also included two trinkets on her bouquet for those who she loves and misses. Rachel and Brady truly have the biggest hearts and share them with each other and everyone around them. I’m so glad I could capture their day in such a special way ! Congratulations Mr. + Mrs. Layfield!
