FONTHILL CASTLE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS

Deven and Kenny call Doylestown home. It’s full of memories for them, including how they met and where they’ll be getting married. I was so excited when Deven told me they wanted Fonthill Castle engagement photos, specifically for the beautiful, tree lined drive. And the best part? Kenny brought his uncle’s classic Corvette! I’m a sucker for classic cars, so I knew this was going to be an extra special session.

THE PROPOSAL

Deven and Kenny went to high school together, so they’ve always sort of “known” each other. It wasn’t until a drunken NYE kiss in 2013 that they started dating, and the rest is history. Deven describes their proposal story in the most beautiful way:

We went for a “run” at Tyler State Park on NYE after spending the morning deep cleaning our house #newyearnewus – I was under the impression we had no plans so we were getting off to a healthy start. One of our favorite things to do together is go for a run outside that usually turns into a walk & talk. It was getting dark and was a little rainy so the park had a little but of an eerie feel but Kenny would not turn back… I obviously now know why. As we crossed the covered bridge, Kenny started fumbling his words and tried multiple times to remember the “roses are red, violets are blue” poem he had written in his phone (this is something we do in cards, texts, etc. – he is way more creative than me). Eventually he gave up on the poem and dropped to one knee. A man dressed in full camo came out of the woods at that exact moment who we managed to ask for a blurry photo that we cherish.
Kenny had planned a dinner with both of our families after. It was so special to be able to celebrate with our immediate families all sitting at the same table.

MY HEART. Kenny’s thoughtful proposal is one of my favorites to this day. I live for these sentimental moments in relationships!

We had so much fun creating their Fonthill Castle engagement photos. I didn’t think we were going to get any sun, but it popped out for a few photos and made my heart sing. Their wedding is going to be an absolute blast and I can’t wait!
