The Estate at Eagle Lake is a gorgeous outdoor New Jersey wedding venue. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed, colorful wedding like Sarah and Davy’s. They brought even more color and plenty of energy to this golden fall day.
This New Jersey wedding venue has an odd history. It began as a private bunker that was eventually sold and renovated to be a wedding venue. You would never guess the estate’s unusual beginnings from looking at it now. The grounds include everything you could want for a wedding. There’s an indoor chapel for rainy days, a lakefront ceremony spot, and a beautiful reception tent.
I love how laid back and peaceful this venue is. There’s so much greenery! The gold and orange leaves at this fall wedding made a stunning backdrop for portraits. We spent a lot of time wandering around the lake and enjoying the gorgeous outdoors. The wooded paths and lush landscaping are pure magic.
That relaxed energy comes through in Sarah and Davy’s carefree posing. They’re two goofballs in love, and they embrace that. Their friendship is at the core of their relationship, and that shined their entire wedding day. They had so much fun just being together during portraits all over the Estate at Eagle Lake.
For a Saturday wedding at the Estate at Eagle Lake, packages start around $11,700. In addition to the usual items, the packages include full-day use of the property, a time slot for an engagement photo session, a tent with heating and cooling, a DJ, and a photo booth. This goes a long way to minimize the number of vendors you need to coordinate.
Fall weddings often either lean into muted earth tones or go big on color. Sarah and Davy stayed true to themselves with a vibrant 70s disco theme for their decor. Bloomers & Things created a jaw dropping installation for the reception. Jewel-toned flowers hung around a dozen disco balls. It really set the tone for a lively party after the ceremony.
The florist used the same flowers from the installation on the geometric wedding arch as well. The tent at the Estate at Eagle Lake is elegant but minimalist enough that it can be personalized a lot. I love that Sarah and Davy used this as a backdrop for their sweetheart table at their reception. It was such a nice way to frame their seats and make the most of the incredible florals.
Sarah is an artist, and she painted the coordinating seating chart signs. One of her friends, a past client of mine, laser cut letters and table numbers for the decor too. And those cool goblets on the reception tables? Sarah and Davy thrifted those! At the end of the night, guests got to take them home as favors.
All the red, pink, and turquoise accents in the reception decor complimented the natural fall color perfectly. The whole day felt full of life. Even Sarah’s hair, which she dyed purple just for the wedding, went perfectly with jewel tones all around.
Sarah and Davy held their wedding at the Estate at Eagle Lake on a Thursday. Weekday weddings are where it’s at! Everything just feels calmer and less rushed.
Since Sarah and Davy put so much work into personalizing their decor, it’s no surprise that their lakefront ceremony felt just as unique and authentic to them. The sunny day was just right for watching Sarah and Davy exchange vows. During the ceremony, they planted a snake plant. They included soil from their home, Sarah’s parents’ home, and Davy’s parents’ home. It was a super emotional moment for everyone. The plant now thrives in Sarah and Davy’s house, and they have a living reminder of their families coming together.
Sarah and Davy’s first dance set the tone for the whole party afterward. It was so fun! They ran across the dance floor to high five each other. The whole reception was a blast with lots of dancing. Hardly anyone left the dance floor the whole night!
