Tina + Kevin, what a freaking incredible day! I knew from the get go that their wedding was destined to be a party full of love and laughter. They had a perfect day for their fall Aldie Mansion wedding, I still pinch myself when I look at their gallery. Tina + Kevin wanted a total focus on moments and candids of their day, which is quite alright in my book. I love getting to hunker down, wait on moments to happen, and shoot when they come about. Their day had no shortage of tender moments and deep, full belly laughs.
Their story began at a bar in New Jersey named Killarney’s. I love a good “we met at a bar” story because it’s so crazy how life brings you to your person. You never know when it’s going to happen! Kevin’s brother recalled the night in his speech and let me tell you, everyone was bursting out laughing. Seeing all their friends and family gather around and share in their big celebration warmed my heart.
Now they live in Colorado, where they love nothing more than shredding fresh pow and taking in all the beautiful scenery on hikes. Seriously, check out that awesome guest book alternative! How cool is it to have a snowboard with all your guests’ signatures on it?! My couples are the freaking coolest and let their personalities shine in every bit of their day. I love watching their adventures on instagram, I’m living vicariously through them for sure!
Tina says the string light tree sold her on having an Aldie Mansion wedding, and I really can’t blame her. Their ceremony under the twinkling lights set the perfect romantic mood for Kevin and Tina. Even better, Tina’s twin sister, Linda, married them! I can’t even imagine a sweeter sentiment to twinhood, or how proud their mom and dad must be.
I’m SO thankful we had perfect weather. One of our plans from the get go was to get some killer night shots under that tree, and we did! We snuck out during the reception and took in the crisp night air under the twinkling lights. I couldn’t be happier to have couples willing to step out for an extra set of portraits, especially when you get to create such one-of-a-kind art for them. I could gush about their day all day long.
Congrats again Mr. + Mrs. Janke! Can’t wait to see where life takes you guys!
