Kathy + Eric, goodness what a lovely afternoon this was! They met at a friend’s wedding, and Eric swears it was love at first sight when he met her. Their relationship blossomed from there, and now we are in the home stretch of their wedding day! Originally they planned on getting married on Halloween, but with COVID making a mess of the world, they decided to move their day to the summer. Back in January, Kathy + Eric met me for their Downtown Annapolis engagement session and it was so good to finally meet them in person!
These two are hysterical together! It’s so easy to talk with them and they were the best tour guides for Annapolis. Believe it or not, I have never just walked through Annapolis or spent time there. They love the old charm and history of this city, so it made for the perfect backdrop for their engagement session. I didn’t realize Downtown Annapolis engagement sessions were so common, but a little google stalking showed me what I’ve been missing! We explored some of their favorite spots and just enjoyed getting to know each other throughout the afternoon. The pictures probably don’t show it, but it was such a warm winter day!
Kathy and Eric wanted photographs that felt natural and like them. Their story turned into a long distance relationship at one point when Kathy moved to Buffalo, and together they endured the many miles between one another. Eric recounts that one of his favorite times with her is when he moved her BACK to Maryland, because he knew it was “the start of forever”. As someone who has also done the long distance thing, I can attest that it’s no small feat, but definitely makes your love stronger. I can’t wait for their big day!
