My gal pal Megan and I flew out to Las Vegas this past March to photograph an earring company run by another dear friend of mine. I took full advantage of being in this incredible place for the first time and set up a few shoots of my own! I’m so dang thankful that Ashley came out to the El Dorado Dry Lake Bed for a couple’s session! I sent her a message as our plane was landing for that evening, and these two came through! Their El Dorado Dry Lake Bed engagement lights my photographer soul on fire, because y’all, they BROUGHT the fire!
Ashley and Justin call Las Vegas home. They have 3 kiddos, horses, and a toooon of plants, so naturally they have their hands full. These two actually model for quite a few photographers, and I mean, have you seen them? They are so in tune with one another and complete naturals in front of the camera. Not to mention, they are so kind and ready for a good time. I get so excited when I see other photographers share images of them, they really are so incredible to work with.
We had the beeeeest weather for their El Dorado Dry Lake Bed engagement session! The sun came over the mountains in full force and gave us beautiful, golden light to soak up. If you know me, you already know that makes me do a happy dance! It amazes me how different every corner of our country is. I’m so used to the humid, green everywhere East Coast. I’ve never seen a dry lake bed in person, much less the desert landscape that surrounds Las Vegas. I can see why Ashley and Justin love this place so much, it’s so beautiful in its own unique way. I hope I can get back out to Las Vegas one of these days and soak up more of the desert, and plan even more incredible sessions like this one!
