A mutual friend first brought Christie and I together. She contacted me when her sweet baby boy was only a few months old to schedule a family session. This one session blossomed into several family sessions over Tristan’s first year of life, and it has been so rewarding to see them grow as a family! I absolutely love this little family, and it’s so nice to have gained another photographer friend! Their fall family session at Killens Pond State Park is definitely one of my favorites from the 2017 fall season. If the colors aren’t enough, just look at how stylish they are! Christie always shows up and shows out for family photos, and I can’t complain one bit! She always has a new outfit up her sleeve.

As you can see, Tristan is always giving me some sort of sass. He makes the silliest faces, but nothing beats his 3 month old session when he gave me straight grump face. I typically have to wave one of his toys around like a lunatic to get a smile from him, but hey, it works! Plus it gives Christie and Dustin something to laugh at, because I know I look crazy. Since this family session, I have photographed this family a few more times, and each time it fills my heart with such joy. The Vandewaters are some of the sweetest, most genuine people I have ever met. I look forward to capturing their growth as a family over the years to come!
