As a New Jersey wedding photographer, I’ve documented just about every kind of wedding celebration from microweddings to huge parties. Regardless of how big or small your wedding is, one thing is certain: Your venue sets the tone for your day. This list includes some of my favorite New Jersey wedding venues for an unforgettable experience.
Beach Plum Farm is unique among New Jersey wedding venues because it’s an actual working farm. It’s located in West Cape May. As you’d hope, they serve farm to table meals prepared on site. The gardens, greenhouse, and Amish barn are beautiful settings for your ceremony and reception. You can even stay at the cottages on the farm.
In Holmdel, Bell Works offers an inclusive that’s distinctly modern. The building used to house Bell Labs. The architecture is amazing and really different from your typical wedding venue. A surprising amount of natural light fills the wide open space from skylights. Bell Works has multiple venues within the campus. They range in capacity from 175 to 3,500 guests. You really can tailor your experience to your vision for your wedding.
Crossed Keys Estate is another one of the New Jersey wedding venues that balances rustic details with modern architecture and amenities. The grounds include 30 acres of gardens, ponds, and outdoor gathering spaces. Crossed Keys Estate has multiple indoor and outdoor areas available. You can get ready in the two spacious suites. After a garden ceremony, you can head to cocktail hour in the Conservatory and your reception in the Farmhouse. This venue is airy and welcoming.
The Conservatory was designed essentially as a giant greenhouse. It hosted flower shows during the New Jersey State Fair. Plant lovers will adore the outdoor gardens as well as the sunlit indoor reception space. If you love the idea of a botanical garden wedding but want a venue with more infrastructure for hosting a wedding, the Conservatory is a good choice.
Of all of the New Jersey wedding venues I’ve seen, Skylands Manor may be one of the most grand. It’s a glamorous, castle-like building located at the New Jersey Botanical Gardens in Ringwood. The grounds include 100 acres of gardens and 1,000 acres of woodlands. There’s even a lake near the chapel. It’s a dream come true for people designing a fairytale wedding.
The Inn at Fernbrook Farms is another working farm with on-site accommodations. Located outside Trenton in Chesterfield, this venue is known for its helpful staff. In addition to the beautiful landscape, people tend to love the Georgian manor house with seven guest rooms.
Liberty House is one of New Yorkers’ favorite New Jersey wedding venues. You can have your ceremony on the lawn with an amazing view of the New York skyline behind you. Receptions take place in the ballroom. Modern chandeliers hang from the wood beams. The tall windows accentuate the indoor/outdoor experience.
Park Loft is a fully restored 1940s dance hall. The current owners added an arbor-shaded garden as well. There are lush outdoor spaces for portraits. Indoors, a mezzanine lines the wide open reception space. It’s easy to picture yourself drinking beautiful cocktails and dancing the night away with your favorite people here.

Hotel LBI is the only LBI spot on this roundup of New Jersey wedding venues. It’s the epitome of a modern beach aesthetic. Even the reception space feels a bit like being inside a boat. The view from the rooftop view is stunning, especially at sunset. You get an indoor/outdoor experience with cocktail hour on the veranda, too.
You can check out a wedding at Parker’s Garage, another LBI wedding venue, in this blog post.
Like Liberty House, Batello is located in Jersey City. Exposed bricks, wooden beams, and big windows mean you get all the best of an industrial wedding venue experience. You get beautiful views of the Manhattan skyline. The space balances intimacy with urban energy.
