If you know me, you already know I’m obsessed with all things floral. So when Rachel told me about their garden wedding at Historic Odessa Foundation, Delaware, you can imagine how excited I was! Their October wedding is one of my favorites from the 2017 season, hands down. I love this little family and the love they share for one another, it just radiates from them! Not to mention, Mia is probably the cutest toddler ever, even though she is not a fan of having her professional picture taken. I’m still honored to this day that they gave me the opportunity to capture their wedding, and I know they will cherish these moments for the rest of their lives.

The day started at Rachel’s house where I photographed the perfect details and everything in between. My lovely assistant, Skye, hung out with the guys as they enjoyed cold brews and laughs together before the ceremony. I love the Historic Odessa Foundation, and if you’ve never been, you NEED to check it out! I could not contain my excitement when I saw the ceremony location in the gardens of the historic houses. Even though it was October, the air was warm and there were plenty of pretty blooms throughout the garden. Whoever picked the ceremony spot is after my heart because the sun was setting right behind the altar!

And is Mia not the most perfect flower girl? She stole the show for most of the day, but I really don’t see anything wrong with that! I think everyone was crying during the ceremony, myself included. It’s been lovely getting to know Rachel and Michael over the past year, and seeing them stand before each other to become Mr. and Mrs. was truly heartwarming. They are such a fun couple, and their whole wedding was a testament to that and the journey they have ahead. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them!
