There’s something about new parents. They have this glow about them, like nothing else matters in the world except the new little being they are about to bring into it. Bri and David are no exception, and I don’t think I’ll ever tire of looking at their gorgeous session. Their Killens Pond State Park maternity session is actual maternity goals. When Bri hopped out of the car, I did a little happy dance over her gorgeous red gown. I appreciate clients who go the extra mile with outfits. It really makes your session stand out! We had gorgeous weather and falls colors too, so that just made this session so much better.
This session is also a testament to how powerful light is and how understanding it will make the most of your session. Typically, golden hour is the coveted time for sessions. Now, I’m all for golden hour sessions because they are AH-MAZING! However, sometimes a session cannot be held during that time, so you have to have it during the “dreaded afternoon”. Afternoon light shouldn’t stress you out! When you find some open shade, you can create beautifully lit images at any time of day!
I really could have photographed these two all day. Their energy and love for each other shines in every image. Their sweet little girl is already so loved, and I know they are going to make the best parents. She has two dog siblings to look after her as well! Wishing them all the best and a long, happy life ahead of them with their new baby girl!
