Would you look at these two cuties?! I met Chris + Meredith at Meredith’s brother’s wedding in 2019. Chris was the videographer and we got to capture their beautiful day together. I was over the moon when Chris messaged me about surprising Meredith with a session. Needless to say, Meredith was THRILLED over the surprise! Their Old Town Alexandria anniversary photos truly are some of my favorite images of all time.

Meredith ran over to me and gave me the biggest, friendliest hug when I walked in the door. I have truly loved getting to know the Layfield family over the years and photographing all the occasions. These two call Old Town Alexandria home, along with their two cute pugs. We began at their adorable apartment and I got to snuggle Frank and Phyllis, who are just as sweet as they look! I felt bad leaving those cute faces behind, but we were off to trek around Old Town! I have never been before, but I always dreamed of going to see the sights and history. Thankfully, I have the best travel guides out there!

There’s not a single spot in Old Town Alexandria that isn’t full of charm. I loved the cobblestone streets, the old architecture, and all the history tucked away throughout the city. Not to mention, soooo many coffee shops and cute places to shop! It’s truly a beautiful city and I can see why Meredith + Chris love it so much. We spent the entire afternoon well into the evening just exploring, laughing, and soaking up all the city has to offer. I truly adore these two and their marriage. They are the perfect fit for one another, and it warms my heart to see. Enjoy some favorites!!
