Sometimes I meet the most unlikely people in the best way possible. When I first started my photography journey, I thought to myself, “No way will I ever book people off Instagram.” And now here we are, where I meet SO many wonderful clients through a tiny little app! It brought Jewels, a fellow photographer, and I together for her Sayen Gardens maternity session. Matt and Jewels are finally expecting their first baby after a series of hardships and they are so deserving of this blessing.
Before I dive into it, let me tell you we didn’t plan on this location at first. Our go-to location was Grounds for Sculpture, but wouldn’t you know it, they had an insanely busy event that day. We still bought tickets and made our way there later (you’ll see those stunning portraits here too!). I’m so glad we started in the lovely Sayen Gardens so we didn’t lose light, plus it was stunning! All in all, it was absolutely perfect and I’m so glad it worked out this way.
Grounds for Sculpture never disappoints. It’s been one of my favorite locations for years, and that never changes. These are some of my favorites from their session!
Like this shot at the Monet bridge! It’s a surreal little pocket of the grounds, and I LOVE it! C’mon, how is this real life?!
And a huge thank you to these sweet souls who honored me with documenting their pregnancy! He’s the cutest little guy and you’re the best parents!
